Hey Kunshan expats! By now I’m sure most of you all have experienced a night out at a KTV in the city. Aren’t they a blast!? I’m sure you’ll be back out at a KTV in no time, and if you’re like me, you’ll most likely find yourself in front of the computer screen and forgetting all of your most favorite artists and songs. With that, I’ve compiled a list of popular artists covering 4 genres and that you can always refer to when it’s your time to DJ the night.
Windsor Park Hotel's Western/Asian Cuisine Restaurant & Rose 99 Bar | Restaurants & Bars in Kunshan, China
Windsor Park Hotel is a great place to dine on delicious food, grab a drink, and, I think, entertain a date. I happened to find this little nugget while searching for a suitable restaurant to take my girlfriend on her birthday.
Though I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Mix Club in Kunshan, a few friends of mine managed to inform me that the nightspot is surely worth a trip.
Bologna, an Italian restaurant, is a great place to unwind, munch on some delicious food and toss back a few drinks all the while being situated right outside the newly opened Golden Eagle mall in downtown Kunshan.
Lucky Monkey Cafe & Bar is a hidden gem in Kunshan. Located along Heilongjiang Road, just North of Qianjin Road and a few stores down from the Franco Papa bakery, the small shop offers a delectable array of Western food and beverages.
Legit massage parlors are readily available across Kunshan. Whether to soothe your aching feet, loosen up your body, or simply unwind, there are a variety of places that will cater to your every need. Massage parlors are also exciting destinations for romantic and adventurous dates, and great places to relax with friends.
Music Bar is located along East Qianjin Road in Kunshan, right across from the Jen Ching Memorial Hospital. Though it doesn’t look like it will take off as a popular hangout spot for foreigners in the city, it might be a great place to party with locals while tossing down a few drinks and listening to live music.
Las Vegas bar is a popular bar/lounge area in Kunshan. The spatial area is pretty big, and there are many booths where guest can drink and socialize with friends.
As for nightclubs in Kunshan, Phebe is one of the best spots in the city. It has the feel of a Shanghai club, a nice mix of music (not only techno) and is always bustling with people of all ages, 21 and above of course, at least I think. There’s even a small dance floor where they usually hold entertaining & professional dance shows performed by talented groups or scantily clad women.
A88 was once one of the most happening clubs in Kunshan. Then, there was a brief stint where it had shut its doors for business. But, it has recently popped back onto the nightclub scene in the city.
Located at around the intersection of Qianjin Road and Xiuyi Road, The Swissotel Crystal Lounge offers an elegant and cozy bar area on its 1st floor, as well as a café and restaurant.
Park 16 Restaurant & Bar is new to Kunshan, and provides a great selection of drinks and food to appease anyone curious enough to walk in. The establishment’s wide, open space, wooden décor, and small “island” bar counter near its center not only allows patrons to sit down and enjoy their food and drinks without feeling too squeezed in, but also offers a setting reminiscent of the bar in the classic American TV show, Cheers.
Eagle Club is located directly at the intersection of Yulong Road and Tongfeng Road. The bar is a relatively small venue, but contains a live band and is a popular spot amongst locals.
Eagle Bar is conveniently located off Qianjin Road, between Huanghe Road and Zhujinag Road, and with big and bright letters spelling out “EAGLE BAR” on its side, you surely can’t miss it.
Whales Bar 2 in Kunshan is a great place to hang out, grab a few drinks, mingle, and listen to a live band. There are two great things about this bar: 1. the band plays popular bar music and even a bit of reggae every now and then, and 2. there’s hookah.
Oasis Bar & Grill is one of the more popular foreign friendly bars around Kunshan. It is located around the southwest corner of Bailu Road and Chaoyang Road.
If you’re looking to experience a Japanese themed bar, try heading over to the area around Oasis Bar & Grill, at the southwest and southeast corners of Bailu Road and Chaoyang Road.
Delicious Dining & Drinks at Suswagth Indian Restaurant & Pub in Kunshan | Things to Do in Kunshan, China
Suswagth Indian Restaurant & Pub, located on the outside of the Golden Eagle Shopping Plaza, is one of the latest restaurants to arrive in Kunshan, serving up authentic and mouthwatering Indian cuisine.
Located at the ground floor level of the Lamborghini Hotel at Parkson Plaza, Venice Bar offers a wide variety of teas, local and imported beers, whiskeys, cognacs, cocktails, and much more!
Galaxy Club is a noisy, bustling nightclub next to Parkson Plaza, off Qianjin Road and Zhongshan Road. The venue serves as a popular entertainment spot amongst young and urban crowds.
Ok, ok, so it's not really a "bar" street that's riddled with a variety of places to drink; instead, expect to only find a few local Chinese pubs at the intersection of Bailu Road and Cross Street.
Friday Pub is a small bar just off the northeast corner of Bailu Road and Zhenzhuan Road. As one of the elder foreign-friendly bars in Kunshan, Friday’s Pub is another great, cozy nightlife destination for visitors looking to meet new people and make acquaintances.
Aurora Bar is located on the Heilongjiang strip, next to Starbuck’s, La Taverna, Drank Bar, and Unicorn Restaurant.
Whales Live Bar is insanely small bar located near the intersection of Zhongshan Road and West St (5min walk from Parkson Plaza).
Linked 928, located along the Heilongjiang strip and directly next to Unicorn Restaurant, provides a nice escape not only from your average local eateries, but also from the other Western spots in its vicinity.
