Things to Do in Kunshan, China + ATTRACTIONS + UNIQUE EXPERIENCES. SEE MY TRAVEL ADVENTUReS IN KUNSHAN! | by a FORMER Kunshan Expat
One of the best fish restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at in Kunshan is called Luyu 2013, which is located at Golden Eagle Plaza. In my near 5 years of living in China, it’s the only restaurant I’ve come across that serves freshly cooked and well seasoned fish the doesn’t include bones. Awesome!
Kun Square 21st Century Jiangnan Aqua City is just one of the latest malls to open their doors in Kunshan, China. Situated directly across from Kunshan Railway Station and about 15 minutes walking distance from Kunshan South Railway Station, the mall is equipped with a wide array of shops, restaurants, a movie theater, an ice skating rink, bowling alley, and much more.
One of the most fun things I’ve liked to do during my stay in Kunshan over the years is try out new restaurants across the city. Whether Chinese, Western, Indian, Malaysian, you name it, I always made an effort to take advantage of being in close proximity of so many different delicious cuisines. Furthermore, I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed trying out the savory dishes at buffet restaurants. After all, all you can eat lunches and dinners never grow old. And since I like sharing my discoveries with the expat community residing in town, here’s my list of 5 buffet restaurants you should try in Kunshan, China:
Marco Polo Café, located at the Lamborghini Hotel beside Parkson Plaza, is a great eatery to visit if you’re looking to dish out some extra bucks to dine in an upscale environment. The café offers a wide selection of seafood alongside Asian and Western cuisine, and even won the 2015 China Restaurant Award for Best Western Restaurant.
Swissotel’s dinner buffet is a great place to dine-out if you favor the all-you-can-stuff-down style of eateries. The restaurant not only provides a wide assortment of cuisines, which many includes seafood, Chinese, barbecue, breads and desserts, but also offers a cozy and elegant dining atmosphere for guests to comfortable enjoy their meals.
