A stop at Raohe Street Night Market’s bustling 600-meter long outdoor marketplace, located in Taipei, was a delightful experience after hearing so much about Taiwan’s energetic night market scene.
From the very moment that I entered its immediate area I was greeted by a seemingly endless barrage of decorative Chinese lanterns and neon lights laced across small shops and vendor boutiques spread throughout the area.
I took a brief but memorable trip around the market and found everything from shoes, clothes, accessories, handbags, and toys, to souvenirs, antiques, Chinese medicine, and much more at pretty decent prices.
Furthermore, Raohe Street Night Market was perhaps best satisfying for its variety of local Taiwanese snacks that included deep fried mushrooms, stinky tofu, grilled squid, black pepper buns, cheese shrimp balls, milk tea, and many more delicious treats.
With that, Raohe Street Night Market was jam-packed with both locals and tourists moving up and down its pathways. So, if you plan on heading to Raohe Street Night Market, just remember to bring an empty stomach and a positive attitude!
Directions to Raohe Street Night Market: Hop on an MRT Subway Line to Songshan Station. Exit 2.
