Hey Kunshan expats! By now I’m sure most of you all have experienced a night out at a KTV in the city. Aren’t they a blast!? I’m sure you’ll be back out at a KTV in no time, and if you’re like me, you’ll most likely find yourself in front of the computer screen and forgetting all of your most favorite artists and songs. With that, I’ve compiled a list of popular artists covering 4 genres and that you can always refer to when it’s your time to DJ the night.
KTVs are popular all across China. They are great places of fun for friends and coworkers, as well as one of the more entertaining venues for inducting new people into a group.
Well, summer has finally arrived and Kunshan is now the hottest it has ever been throughout the entire year. With that in mind, it’s time to pull out your swim trunks, grab your goggles, toss on your hair cap, perform a few quick ab exercises, and head to the nearest public swimming pool around. Let’s take a look at a few options that are available:
Cycling is huge all across China. In fact, did you know that China has the most bicycles in the world?
China is renowned for its martial arts. Tai chi, one of its most popular forms, is practiced throughout parks and public spaces on a daily basis.
Kunshan’s Forest Park is one of the city’s biggest park. Located on the north Westside of Kunshan, on Ma’anshan Road between Hongqi Road and Tiyuchang Road, the park is brimming with beautiful natural scenery and serenity.
The Kunshan Culture & Art Center is located on the Westside of Kunshan, at Qianjin Road and Sichang Road.
Week Nine Ecology Park is a great getaway spot located on the westside of Kunshan, about 15 minutes past Forest Park.
Kunshan is loaded with movie theaters in every direction; there’s even an IMAX screen on the far Westside of town.
Arcades are a great way to enjoy your night out if you’re looking to have fun and stray away from the normal bar, club and KTV settings.
Kunshan has its fair share of gyms spread across the city. Prices vary from gym to gym, but memberships are usually somewhere between 1,800rmb and 3,000rmb for a year. Gym representatives always start off with a high price, such as the usual 2,800rmb 1 year price tag; however, prices are usually up for negotiation. Try shooting for 2,000rmb or less for a year and FULL access to all areas of the gym.
I don’t know exactly all the gyms in Kunshan, but I’ll do the best I can to describe a few popular ones and their locations:
