Things to Do in Kunshan, China + ATTRACTIONS + UNIQUE EXPERIENCES. SEE MY TRAVEL ADVENTUReS IN KUNSHAN! | by a FORMER Kunshan Expat
Hey Kunshan expats! By now I’m sure most of you all have experienced a night out at a KTV in the city. Aren’t they a blast!? I’m sure you’ll be back out at a KTV in no time, and if you’re like me, you’ll most likely find yourself in front of the computer screen and forgetting all of your most favorite artists and songs. With that, I’ve compiled a list of popular artists covering 4 genres and that you can always refer to when it’s your time to DJ the night.
So, back in the late summer of 2012 I had the opportunity to work as an extra in a popular Chinese television series about Bruce Lee’s martial arts master, Yip, or, Ip Man. One day, a friend of mine had gave me a ring and expressed that an associate of his was looking to cast 3 foreigners in the TV flick. They’d pick us up in vans, we’d shoot the scenes for a while, and that’s literally all we knew. But who could turn down an offer like that, especially when you’re an adventurous newbie to the country?
Unfortunately, Kunshan doesn't really offer any English language television programming other than its state-ran English news broadcaster, CCTV.
If you're looking to stay at home, cozy up, and pop in a movie, Kunshan has several DVD stores around town that will supply your needs. They not only offer movies (Blue-Ray as well), but also sell television series (old, new & popular), documentaries, music CDs, and media-related equipment.
