A short while later we pulled into a film school located about 10min. west of Forest Park. From the main entrance we could spot a small collection of pieces forming movie sets, and at the drop off point, camera lights and crewmembers were already spread out in every direction. After we unloaded, a staff on the crew led us to costume room. The locals were getting dressed in fashionable suits and Cheongsam dresses reminiscent of early 1900’s China. Then someone handed us our clothes, and I’ve always wished that there was a camera placed somewhere in the room to catch our reactions. What we were holding were costumes styled like the U.S. Navy sailor uniforms of the WWII era. There was a mix of shock, anger, regret, and laughter all rolled into a matter of seconds. Nevertheless, we all decided, on with the show!
