Let's take a look at the trip duration for some common destinations from Kunshan:
Kunshan to Shanghai: 15min by high-speed train.
Kunshan to Suzhou: 15min by high-speed train.
Kunshan to Nanjing: 1 hour and 30min by high-speed train.
Kunshan to Hangzhou: 1 hour and 45min by high-speed train.
Kunshan to Beijing: 5hours and 30min by high-speed train.
Please note that you'll always need to show your Valid Passport, or a Photocopy of it, when purchasing or picking up train tickets. You cannot pick up tickets for other people if they are not present.
Furthermore, it is especially important to note that most high-speed trains end services around 9-11pm. If you've ever missed the train returning from Shanghai, they usually have slow trains that will take you to Kunshan Railway Station until about 12am. So if you've missed the last high-speed train in another city, try going to their Railway station and seeing if slow trains to Kunshan are available.
Lastly, Kunshan South Railway and Kunshan Railway do have bus stations attached to them. Try to figure out which buses travel near your home; after all, on busy days, catching a taxi from the stations may be a bit challenging.
