ATTRACTIONS & THINGS TO DO IN south korea. SEE MY FUN travel ADVENTURES IN seoul and busan, south korea!
While making my way to Haedong Yonggung Temple in Busan I stumbled upon a small pizza joint—7th Street Pizza—and figured I’d grab a bite to eat before the long bus journey ahead. The clock had just struck noon and I was ready to stuff down a large order of whatever they had.
I ended up ordering a large cheese pizza and it took about 15 minutes for it to arrive at my table. It was perfectly cut into 8 pieces and its cheese was topped with a light seasoning. Without hesitation I picked up a slice and took my first bite.
H-A-L-E-L-U-J-A-H! H-A-L-E-L-U-J-A-H! Did you see the bright light shine down through the clouds too? It was the best pizza I had ever eaten in my 28 years on Earth; no exaggeration, no shameless promotion, just the absolute truth.
Growing up in America I’ve eaten Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Little Caesar’s plenty of times along with a fair share of pizza from lesser-known brands as well; nevertheless, I hadn’t experienced such a taste explosion from eating pizza at 7th Street since stuffed crust was first invented.
I don’t know, maybe it was the fact that I was incredibly hungry that afternoon, that the weather was cold, or that I had been living in China for the past 4 years and didn’t have access to American pizza for awhile, but I’m definitely glad that I made the stop.
Note: The specific 7th Street Pizza I visited was in Busan, South Korea, just outside of Jangsan Station. Exit 7.
