I just got back from a 4-day trip in Dubai as a solo traveler. Here’s a brief summary of what I did during my 4 days in Dubai.
It was my last night in Dubai so I was also very ecstatic about finally getting to visit the desert and watching an Eastern sunset over the dunes.
[Part 5] Day 3 in Dubai: Here’s Why You Should Visit Dubai Marina & the Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence
Day 3 in Dubai started with breakfast at my hotel, a metro ride to the Mall of Emirates, and an afternoon ride on the Blue Line of the Big Bus Tour, which mainly covered Dubai Marina and the city’s Tallest Block.

Dubai’s Palm Islands are a collection of 3 artificial islands—Palm Jumeirah, Palm Deira, and Palm Jebel Ali—shaped like palm trees with a crescent on top. Here’s how they appear from space:
It was Day 2 in Dubai and I was thrilled to discover that the city was equipped with its very own “hop on/hop off” Big Bus Tour. I adamantly believe that bus tours are one of the BEST ways to not only explore attractions across a travel destination, but are also a great way to view and get a feel of the city’s landscape.
I paid 500 AED ($136) for a ticket to the 148th, 125th and 124th floor observation decks of the Burj Khalifa, dubbed "At the Top". Expensive, right? In fact, that’s the most I’ve ever paid for an observation deck, and I’ve been to plenty.
Scorching hot but definitely worth the trip! That's right, my 4-day adventure in Dubai turned out to be one of the best vacations ever!
